I know $120 isn’t game-changing money. It’s lunch money that’ll last a week or two, depending on your appetite. But still, it’s free money. Earning $120 didn’t take any extra time on my part—quite the opposite. I earned $120 by saving 6 hours of my time.

How? Brave Browser.

Sadly, I didn’t earn the $120 overnight. I earned it over the course of a year with regular internet usage. So let’s set expectations now. You won’t earn an insane amount of money using Brave. I earn about $6–7 a month with my browsing habits. The amount you earn depends on how much time you spend browsing the internet. Check out these tips and tricks to make sure you are earning the most with Brave Browser.

I didn’t start using Brave for the money, and I honestly didn’t realize you got paid for browsing the internet until a couple of months in, when I realized I had earned $20. Brave has many other perks that make it the best browser out there. Getting paid is simply a bonus.

So here are 5 reasons why you should switch to Brave Browser.

1. Less Memory Usage

Google Chrome is a RAM hog. If you’ve ever tried editing video while using Chrome, your computer will scream at you. Chrome has always had a big appetite. It usually consumes 6–8GB of RAM with casual browsing. This is very problematic if your computer only has 8GB or 16GB of RAM. If you have plenty of available memory, you might not have any issues. However, Chrome will still eat a big portion of your RAM, which is a problem if you need memory for tasks like video rendering, 3D rending, or processing high-resolution photos and video.

Brave is a Chromium web browser, meaning it’s built using the same code as Google Chrome, so all Chrome extensions and plugins will work with Brave. Unlike Chrome, Brave is not a RAM hog.

Brave uses 33% less memory than Chrome. Brave will be more efficient if you have 8GB or 16GB of memory, and it less problematic when you perform RAM-heavy tasks such as rendering video.

2. Faster Browsing

Brave is 3 times faster than Chrome, and using Brave will extend battery life by an additional hour takes to Braves efficient memory usage.

I’ve used Brave for one year now, and I’ve saved 4.4 hours on my iMac. I use Brave Browser on my laptop and phone and have saved 1.6 hours on those devices. For one year of regular browsing, I saved 6 hours of my time simply because Brave loads sites 3 times faster.

3. Blocks Ads and Tracking

If you care about your privacy Brave is perfect for you. Brave does not spy on your online behavior, and Brave shields you from unwanted ads and trackers. In one year with Brave and it blocked over 300,000 ads and trackers.

Brave also supports Duck Duck Go, so Brave also has you covered with one of the most secure Search Engines if you prefer private search engines.

4. Tor Access

If you value privacy and VPNs, you might be familiar with Tor Browsing. Tor is Onion Browser that allows internet users to conceal their location and anonymously browse. Instead of requiring a separate browser for private anonymous web browsing, you can use Brave to access Tor quickly.

5. Get paid to browse

The final reason you should use Brave for your browsing is that Brave pays you to browse through the Basic Attention Token (BAT). BAT is a cryptocurrency that pays you for your attention. Brave will feed you ads as you browse. The more ads you see, the more money you earn.

Since Brave is a cryptocurrency, you can easily exchange it for USD or convert it to other cryptocurrencies, such as bitcoin.

Conclusion

So do you want to get paid for browsing the internet? Want websites to load faster? Want to block ads, stop trackers, and quickly access Tor whenever you need it? Then Brave is the browser for you.

This is not a paid promotion for Brave. I truly love this browser. These are some of the reasons I’ve used Brave for the last year and will continue to use it for years to come. You can download the browser here.

Thanks for reading! Remember, make it a great day or not; the choice is yours.
